Hey everyone! I will be doing a High Holiday cooking demonstration at the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market (Lyndale location) on Sunday, September 20th at 10:30am, as part of their “Sunday Cooks” series. I’ll be demonstrating how to make a meal for the Jewish harvest holiday of Sukkot, using fresh, local vegetables, herbs and meat from the farmer’s market.
The menu: a seasonal vegetable ragout with eggplant, tomatoes, bell peppers, onion and herbs; sauteed chicken breast with a date sauce; and lemon Israeli couscous. For those who can’t stop by, I will be posting my recipes (with photos!) on TCJewfolk.com in an upcoming Thursday Noshin’ column. (I’ll post a link from here to there, too!)
